Terms of Service
The ground rules for using FrothIQ Defense and the FrothIQ hosted service.

1. Acceptance
By installing the FrothIQ Defense plugin, registering as an operator, or using any part of the FrothIQ hosted service, you agree to these Terms and to the associated Privacy Policy and EULA. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
2. The service
“Service” means the FrothIQ Defense plugin, the hosted threat-intelligence layer, the operator dashboard, and any associated documentation, APIs, and support channels operated by OrbWeaver.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to protect sites you don’t own or don’t have explicit permission to operate
- Use the Service to attack, probe, or disrupt other systems
- Reverse-engineer the hosted intelligence layer (the plugin source is GPL-licensed and open to inspection; the service is not)
- Resell or redistribute the Service as a white-label offering without a written agreement
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, licensing controls, or tenant isolation
4. Availability & performance
We aim for high availability of the Service but make no absolute uptime guarantee on the free tier. Enterprise-tier customers receive uptime commitments in their specific agreement. If the hosted intelligence layer is temporarily unreachable, the plugin falls back to local-cached policy and continues protecting your sites with the most recently published threat data.
5. Warranty disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t warrant that it will detect every attack, block every threat, or be free from bugs. Security is a defense-in-depth discipline: FrothIQ is one of multiple controls you should run, not a substitute for backups, hardening, updates, and good operational hygiene.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, OrbWeaver’s total liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the fees you’ve paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which for free-tier users is $0). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold OrbWeaver harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights through your use of the Service.
8. Termination
Either side can terminate at any time. You can uninstall the plugin and delete your operator account whenever you want. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms or that are being used to abuse the Service. On termination, access to the hosted service ends; the plugin source (licensed under GPL) remains yours.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes not resolved informally will be resolved in state or federal courts located in Texas.
10. Changes
We’ll post updated Terms here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
